![]() ![]() Thanks for reading, I know this may be a little long but it's important because I want the game to develop and have a great community with a really positive start! Thanks again,ĮDIT: Some great points and discussion here! /r/user/KamiKozy suggested Noise Gate options which I think would be a great addition to the Battle. It's one of the reasons I think Heroes of the Storm is one of my fav. It just causes salty players and dumb rage. This is a personal thing but have no comms to the opponent. An individual volume option for each teammate would be fantastic. Sometimes asking people to move their mic away from their mouth or lower it down just doesn't work. Next, select Sound > Voice Chat > Voice Chat Mode > Push to Talk > Push to Talk. Do your best to explain it and maybe they can speak your language but if things don't work, maybe the mute button will have to be used.Ī note to Blizzard, if possible make it so we can configure a players volume individually. To do so, press Esc on your keyboard and select Options. Not everyone can speak English, German, French, Russian, etc. Do your best to sort this out :DĪccept people's language differences. Any social gamers with mechanical keyboards such as myself, know that keyboard sounds can be really loud. Make sure it's not going to give off tons of additional noise.Ĭonfigure your microphone as best as you possibly can! Pretty simple but find the settings so your mic is just as sensitive as it needs to be to pick up your voice and hopefully nothing else. If using a mute button to flick between On/Off, test it with friends. You can still communicate and it makes sure any background noise is not going to disturb other players. This is a really IMPORTANT point - Accept the fact not everyone can speak your language! Don't get rude, don't flame at them for lack of communication, if anything at all - Have no expectations, so when people do communicate, it's awesome! I know there will be people with lesser English or no English skills at all. I'm personally British and only speak English. Even more so if they're attempting to communicate! You can also try having a mute function and switch it on/off accordinly, though test your mic with friends to make sure any background noise isn't screwing up their audio.Īnother major point is language. Muting them is an option but it's much better if you don't have to. I'm sure there's some CS:GO players here have been in competitive games with people not using Push To Talk and have incredibly frustrating volumes. I personally will be using TeamSpeak 3 with friends openly but will have Push 2 Talk enabled in-game to communicate with the players I don't know. ![]() Continued abuse of our services will cause your IP address to be blocked indefinitely. With the addition of voice comms and how useful they are going to be in Overwatch for good teamplay there are bound to be people with what we may call 'potato microphones'.
